For obvious reasons guys want the length to be as long as possible, but where to measure? To measure the underside is really impossible because you don't know where it starts and finishes. So you have to measure along the top. Get it fully erect and push a ruler into the tissue immediately above your penis until it meets your pelvic bone. Then measure to the tip of course, but you may need to add a couple of millimetres because most rulers don't measure to the end.

Now did you really need that to be explained to you?

Uh, why would you do such a silly thing anyway? Once you get erect, can't you think of more pleasurable activities, ones that don't involve a ruler? What difference can it possibly make to you to know this measurement? Great dinner table conversation? Just look down -- you can see it, right? If you can, then it's big enough. Anything beyond that is definitely TMI.

first off, hold the head of your penis out in gront of you...then take a ruler, place on the SIDE, not underneath or on top like others have said, the ruler should be touching the pubic bone, but not being pushed into it. then you just look where the head of your penis is compared to the ruler.

Its from the pubic bone at the top of your penis to the tip of the glans.

Its not measured from underneath.

not sure. perhaps you just measure the part which would be inserted during sex?

Curious as to why you need to measure the length... speak to almost any woman, and she'll tell you that it's technique that matters!

From the base to the tip. If you're lucky, you'll need a yard stick instead of a six inch ruler.
