Oh, absolutely!! The Iraqis are the ones responsible for the 9/11 attacks, right?
Osama Bin Laden is, after all hiding in the Iraq oil fields!!
Here's the real story.
George H. W., George W. Bush, the central banks and several other financiers and political leaders are making billions of dollars in military weapons system sales and oil futures.
And as long as U.S. troops are supporting this mis-directed invasion aimed at controlling Middle East oil, the New World Order can continue to pull the wool over the eyes of those who blindly follow their spiritual and political leaders. George W. Bush is steadily dismantling the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
He is meeting with the Canadian Prime Minister and the President of Mexico to plan the North American Union. They are all puppets of the Bilderberg Group and the Global elite and we will all be trampled by the New World Order if we don't stand up to it's progress NOW!!! Get informed! go to INFOWARS dot com.

"The job" has already been done. In fact, it's been done several times.
First, it was to dismantle an imaginary "WMD" program. Mission accomplished.
Next, it was to "rescue" the Iraqi people, who never asked to be rescued. Mission accomplished.
Then, it was bring down the government, locate Saddam and hang him. Mission accomplished.
Next mission, to give the new Iraqi government time to get their act together. Obviously, they had sufficient time, to the point that they could go on an extended vacation. Mission accomplished.
Finally, to subdue a small gang of thugs that didn't exist before the invasion and who accounted for a whopping 2% of "enemy combatants" in a civil war. According to the Penatgon, mission accomplished.
Five missions, five missions accomplished. The ONLY justification for continuing military operations there is to advance an illegitimate political agenda and to pander to a bunch of drooling, chickenhawks who get some vicarious thrill from the needless sacrifice of American heroes.

You should think more about the aim of this war , what are the americans fighting for ? Iraq's wellfare?(the joke of the century) , fighting Al Qaeda (which did nothing but giving america reason to stay in Iraq and by the way it killed more iraqis than americans , and never made attacks on Israel which is extremly strange thing for islamic radicals which raise the doctrine of " Jihad against the jews and christians and their tails in the islamic countries " in the time they attacked fellow muslims with suicidal bomb cars , trucks , men , women , they once used a donkey with explosive and its not a joke I ve seen it ,.......etc. ) OR is done for the sake of precious black gold ??(anyway , how much money you ll get after spending these huge fundings on the freaking war ?) So I Think the conclusion I have about your question is : its not should we stay ? its WHAT is making the lifes of thousands of soldiers , tons of equipments , billions of dollars and above all american credibilty in the world especially among the arabs and muslims , what makes all these sacrifices so cheap ?

That resolution has been made already. Republicans and Democrats alike are voting FOR it.
Don't pay attention to all the noise that the press provokes.
They are all voting to stay with Hillary leading the way.
Time to consider the next move.
Give Israel a wink and a nod and watch them bomb the crap out of Iran's nuke program. We will re-visit the issue in 20 years.
Now. Work on an incremental shift in the US to supplement gasoline with ethanol, replace Diesel Fuel with Bio Diesel fuel and mandate that all cars sold in the US contain an ever increasing percentage of flex fuel egines.
Next. Re-train the Saudis to once again learn how to herd goats at the Oasis.
Once the US is free of imported oil. Turn the ME over to the EU. If they can't manage their oil source, tough darts. See ya.

What job . Do you mean setting up a government that will try to keep Iraq from fulfilling its obligations to its trading partners Russia and china . Seems after we had the trouble with them back in 1990 or so we began placing sanctions on them and to everyones surprise they found a way to sell the oil to china and Russia . They had contracts to deliver hundreds of millions of barrels to these nations and had even been getting some support and help from them .
I guess we decided if we can not control who gets what and at what price then we will simply invade them . Set up a government to our liking and go back to business sucking the oil out of the middle east .

Deaths are down, that's true, but has there been any significant progress in stabilizing the country so that the presence of American troops is no longer necessary?

What job exactly is that? At the cost of 2 billion dollars a week, to the detriment of the American taxpayer, we are owed a definition of what that job is.
