scream (skrēm) pronunciation
v., screamed, scream·ing, screams.
v.intr.
1. To utter a long loud piercing cry, as from pain or fear.
2. To make a loud piercing sound: Jet planes screamed through the air.
3. To speak or write in a heated hysterical manner.
4. To have or produce a startling effect: The outlandish costume screamed with clashing colors.
I don't think a squirrel can do 1 to 3 from the above, but I suppose the ran over or hit squirrel can produce a startling effect...the colours probably.

Squirrels are very capable of vocalizing. If you never lived in an area with them you would not know this. The recent hurricane blew a squirrel nest from my mothers tree. They only found them because of the babies crying. They have been raising 5 babies by bottle!

Have you ever heard them.....? I've never heard anything scream before i ran it over. So i would say no squirrels do not scream before they get hit by a car.
