Its the confidence that attracts you. Confidence goes a long way in having others be attracted to you, trust you, respect you, etc.
It's all in the attitude my friend.

By conceited do you mean they think they are hot when they are not? Or do you go for high end hot chicks that have nothing else to offer beyond their curb appeal? Either way, you must like the attitude.

Well the media of today feels the need to "empower" women by showing the "dumb guy next to the smarter, more attractive woman."
This coupled with the "goddess" "diva" & "princess" messages the media also promotes I think is having an effect on some women.
This could very well be what you are experiencing.

Because they are you're type. You might like to settle on things that seem better than they really are. You might like confident and vain women. Maybe you really like them but you just question it right now because they hurt you or something went wrong or something always goes wrong.
Or maybe it's just your fate and you can't really control your heart. If you believe that love is something out of your control and you don't have really choice but to fall for those kinds of women because you cant' tell your heart whom to fall in love with, then you just have to accept it and wait for the right one for you...just maybe...

Because you are looking for something better than what you actually should get.
Women know when they are beautiful.
If you want a beautiful woman then she's going to be high maintenance.

because you pay attention to the aspects you like and fail to notice the aspects that are shown (perhaps not as much) but later will turn you away.
