It is about as ignorant as crap now at 5:30 it's dark so the heat is on when were home from work cost more! I'd like it to get dark in the summertime earlier so partying can take place sooner now this is a great idea! No really when the sun comes up it should be 7:00 in the morning period.

We didn't go against the rest of the world. In years past Europe changed to daylight savings time and back again to standard about one week before the U.S. and Canada. I know because I'm a devoted listener to English language short wave radio and those international radio outlets change their frequencies and broadcast times to coincide with the time change in their areas. So, I've had to do a bit of sleight of hand to adjust for a period of one week until things are sorted out.

As far as I know, only the US changes from Daylight Savings Time to Standard Time. We have always changed the last week of October and I haven't a clue as to why this year is different or whose hare-brained idea it was.

I would imagine that business had something to do with the concept.
By having work hours happen while it is light out, the cost of business is reduced because of the money saved on lighting and other logistical things having to do with working during the daylight.

It really is a hair-brained idea - the whole daylight savings crap.
it doesn't really save anything - what's saved on one side ends up being used on the other side (morning - evening)
the only good part is you get home when it's still light outside.
but aside from screwing up everyone's internal natural clocks and driving poor kids nuts - waking up an hour earlier for school and their moms who would like to sleep another hour...
the guys who invented this should be locked away for life and it should be abolished because it really is insane !

That's soooo funny, I'm going crazy trying to change all the electronics that automatically adjust for DST! The computer I'm on now is one hour behind!
It was a real stupid, lamo thing to do. Who does make up these silly retarded decisions?

Computers think that the time has changed already. They are all 1 hour behind.

It was part of a bill to conserve energy. We "sprung forward" two weeks early and will "fall back" a week late in efforts to conserve energy (electricity I assume).
