Nope. I'd go for something unique. Your name is not uncommon, it is unique. Wanna know my son's name? His name is Peace. I know it appears common but u probably have not heard anyone named Peace. Peace is a virtue. Besides, I have always wanted that for my child (boy or girl). May be your parents have always wanted Fritzie too and u came along. U could ask them if there's any interesting story behind your name and u could be pleasantly surprised.
As far as popular names, nah!

Dear Fritzie ( Johan's girl )
If you stand in a crowd and shout " TOM " or " GEORGE " I think there will be hundreds who would respond to the call therefor I feel Its good to have nice but uncommon names like yours .

Fritzie is uncommon. Do you like it? With my first baby, I was looking for something that wasn't weird but not everyday. With my second, I picked something I really liked even though I knew she'd run into others with that name.

I named my daughers uncommon names but not unheard of (Adele and Mia). I am now expecting my third and if it was a boy he would be called John because my boyfriend wanted a family name for him. However, turns out it's a girl so she's getting another uncommon name!

I don't like common names, having a name that is different I think helps with individuality and self-identification. I have found that my boyfriend, however, is more partial to common names. I love names like August or Blake as opposed to Rebecca or James.

I prefer not to as it gets confusing when others are present with the same name. I've also witnessed horrible mix-ups with people of common/same names, like innocent people getting interrogated for hours in criminal cases due to same-name/mistaken identity.
I prefer more exotic names that are no more than 3 syllables.

I names my eldest Twin boy William and it is 4th (i think) on the top 10 list. My youngest twin is Tobias is something like 47th. I always thought that was uncommon. But will say it is TOBY on the list, which is my boys nickname.
