If they are big enough to stand up and hold a container they are old enough (under supervision, of course).
When someone as tall as I comes to the door, needing a shave, I'm not sure if I should give him candy or offer him a beer.

holidays are for everyone who likes to get into the spirit of things! is anyone too old for a christmas gift? of course not! so how can someone be too old to enjoy a good holiday time? and i don't think you can be too young either...i took all of my kids out for their first halloween and we had a great time! we made sure they had warm pj's on under their costumes and had them home before it got too late. happy halloween!

Well if you own a house or place where kids stop by, you should probably be there giving out candy (at least 1 person). And then if the other person has to give out candy maybe you would like to stay with them?

Twelve or thirteen is too old. Two is too young. I get very annoyed giving out treats to kids who are as tall as I.

Once you're a teenager, you are too old. (12 is ok, 13 is not).
Everyone that is older should be at a Halloween party and still dress-up, just not going door-to-door.
