I enjoy God's wonderful plan of seasons changing year round. Fall makes me think of the approaching holidays starting w/ Labor Day when school resumes the weather and colors start, and I anticipate the first snow in Oct, sometimes guessing in a contest when the first snow will fall. Then I start geting ready for Thanksgiving and buying presents for Christmas to celebrate the best birthday of all time, so what's not to love.

Fall is my favorite time of year. The weather is great, the leaves are so pretty and it's nearly time for all the holidays. It's finally turned cooler after a very hot summer and it makes me feel so alive. I used to dread winter, but I've learned to enjoy all the seasons now and that makes fall even better.

Fall is my favorite season, also spring. I love the fall colors and the leaves changing. Thanksgiving is a lovely holiday, but I've always felt it's too close to Christmas.
I love the cooler weather and the chance to revamp my wardrobe. I had my colors done years ago. I'm an autumn. There is a certain loveliness to it that doesn't exist at other times of the year. As the poet Keats once wrote: "Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness, Close bosom friend of the maturing sun." How lovely!

I do enjoy all the holidays, and outdoor festivals, that come with the fall.
The only leaves that have changed in my neighborhood are the Crepe Myrtle leaves. We do have tons of acorns all over our front yard.....I really should be outside sweeping off the front porch, driveway, and sidewalks.
It is nice to sit out on our front porch and not have temperatures up in the 90s. It will only be in the 80s today.
Still, there is a reminder that we are still in the 'wet' season. We only have two seasons here, "very wet-hot" and "not as wet-comfortable" or hurricane season and not hurricane season. Tropical storm Noel lurks not far away, and so I'll be checking the forecast a few times over the next two days.

For me, it's just so nice to finally have the air conditioner off and the doors and windows open again! Kind of like coming out of hibernation...only in reverse. The heat and humidity are gone and there is a crispness in the air. Don't get the fall colors so much here on the coast, but it's still all good. This is the time of year I love getting out and doing things, especially in the yard. The only thing I don't like is that it gets dark so early. Find that part of it dreary.

I have been waiting for this cool, frosty air for soooo long. I am typing with my window open right now and thinking of taking a walk to enjoy the day. I just love the fall, the mist and all. I really enjoy the things that come with fall. Eastern apples rocks! Lots of pears, ooo and pumpkin anything!

I love the simple fall and winter holidays. I can do Halloween and Thanksgiving with my eyes closed by now! Christmas is still a tough one for me. Thinking of just the right present for everyone gives me a headache. I wish I could just jump into one of those Corona ads. You know, the ones where people are lazing on the beach at Christmas!

I live in Texas and that USED to happen but now it's warm most of the time to where you wear shorts nearly all year long and when it does get into the 30's it's a real shocker. Unfortunately there is no more turning of the leaves here. One day they can be green and the next day they are dead and on the ground, brown and dried up. There is no red or golden colors to them any more, either green or brown.

When I left New Jersey back in 1985, I was glad to get away from the cold and the snow. Sure, the color changes were very pretty, but cold and snow came right behind them. I spent 20 years in Florida, swore I'd never leave, and here I am in Wisconsin. November 2004 was my first year here, and I had just missed the color changes. The following year, I was blown away by the beauty of it and realized I missed it. But not what's coming.

Absolutely, without a doubt, the best season of the year. Perfect weather 24/7. I dread summer though.
