Selfridges have a good Christmas department and they're a little bit more than standard department stores, but quite plush. Harrods are good too, but I find that most of their stuff has Harrod's emblazoned on it, which can look as though you're trying too hard.

Not sure where the best Christmas display is but Harrods is prob the best place to get Christmas decorations but it costs a fortune!!
