To approach the seemingly irrational, you may need subjective study. Try to be a Christian for a while, or a yogi. If you achieve superconsciousness in meditation, you will have answered many of your own questions. Religion is not something we can merely muse over and intellectualize. It has to be experienced.

Isaiah 55:6 " Seek the Lord while he may be found , call ye upon him while he is near ". Go read or hear the word of God , and ask him to be your savior , he will listen then...He wants to help you and to rely on him

You can talk to Him just the way the rest of us do, but you are going to have to lose that self righteous smug attitude and admit there is someone greater and smarter than yourself.
I know the ego is a terrible enemy to fight, but ask yourself, what's so great about you? Egocentric means everything is centered on you. I don't think you qualify.
So who are you to make smug jokes about the Creator of the universe?

Everything is on the table.

The point is not about talking to God, but about talking to ourselves. I used to think I was bad, until I met the world.

God's word is wisdom inside of you, if you are willing to listen.
