There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gasses is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere and disruption of the Earth's climate. Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the Earth.

Well, many people use those words to describe exactly the same thing.

But one way you could look at it is that global warming is just the increase in temperature. Then climate change could be used as a broader term to include:

changes in precipitation patterns
melting of ice and glaciers,
stronger storms (not a sure thing, but likely)

But remember, few other people use those words that way. Mostly they're all talking about the same thing, a change in the long term climate, that's caused mostly by us.

And, unfortunately, the scientific data proves that's what's going on.

"I wasn’t convinced by a person or any interest group—it was the data that got me. I was utterly convinced of this connection between the burning of fossil fuels and climate change. And I was convinced that if we didn’t do something about this, we would be in deep trouble.”

by raising average temperatures, as the name implies, and through that many other changes, such as:
- ice caps on arctic and antarctic, as well as in high elevations, is melting partially, and substantial melt will cause rise of sea level, and inundation of low countries (Holland, Venice, etc.)
as arctic oceans become warmer, the flows in the oceans could stop, these flows bring warm water to colder zones and cold water to warmer zones, which makes the weather more comfortable there, stop of these flows will make the equator hotter and the arctic colder.
Permafrost inland is defrosting, which could lead to evaporation of vast amounts of Methane, now trapped frozen in permafrost, Methane is a strong green house gas, and poisonous. the result could be accelerated warming effect and wide extinctions.
There is a lot more, but these will suffice.
