Without war, G.W. Bush would have quickly become irrelevant. The entire mission of the neocons (known as "the crazies" in prior administrations) was to remake the world under U.S. global hegemony. That required war in the Middle East. That war has gone so badly as to threaten the entire neocon movement. They had planned to march right through Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Iran and North Korea. Nearing the end of the Bush presidency we find that they never even got out of Afghanistan. The current push by the neocons to bomb Iran is akin to a hockey team finding itself down by 3 goals with 3 minutes to play in the third, thus pulling the goaltender in a desperate, wreckless, last-ditch effort to avoid utter defeat.

You may recall 9/11 which took us to Afghanistan. A cycle of Hurricanes, the fires, and then there are the illegals to content with.

Iraq and Afghanistan aren't wars, Congress did not declare war; our lives would be much different if there was an actually declared war.
