I want to become a refugee. I'd make about twice what I'd be getting from social security for working 47 years.

But let me guess. Democrats aren't about to may SS to where I'll make even 3/4 of what a refugee will get. *LOL* I'll be lucky if there's any SS left in three years when I retire. And people wonder why I don't like Democrats.

They care more for those who they can dupe into voting for the than they do for the average person who works and pays taxes.

OBTW how about these taxes.

CDL license Tax

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the most prosperous in the world.

We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

What the heck happened? Can you spell "politicians!"

And.... I still have to "press 1" for English.

Like a naughty pupil who is in detention after school, Libs should be required to write this sentence 100 times a day: "The road to hell is paved with good intentions".

Social unrest is like a pressure cooker. Ratchet up the pressure enough, and the government is forced to take action. However, this system is not working in Mexico because the Libs have allowed the U.S. to act like a pressure release valve. The very people who are upset enough with the rampant corruption in Mexico are exactly those people who just give up on their own country and go to the U.S.

In other words, the U.S. is unintentionally preventing Mexico from making crucial reforms.

Do any Libs understand this?

We are figuratively spitting in the face of all the hard working Americans who lived modest, respectable, fiscally responsible lives in order to have a decent retirement, only to discover those benefits are a lot lower than expected.

In sharp contrast, Consuela and Maria can traipse across the border and do a mariachi dance... they've just hit the jackpot.

Exactly what is this social program? You don't get Social Security unless you have paid into in. Its not a welfare program. Your mom sounds like she might be a notch baby.
In either case, someone in the family has to qualify, like the illegal aliens husband.
Medicaid is for the poor, she might not qualify for it She would be getting close to the benefit level.
I've worked since I was ten, I won't be getting any benefits on my own, a family can only use one wage earners benefit.
As to whether or not I want the government in charge of my healthcare, my insurance company is in charge of it now.
And they make a profit by making it as difficult as possible for me to get the care I (and three doctors agree) need.
Adding a layer of profit, and the insurance companies have shown a consistent profit, is not the way to even begin to bring costs down. Neither are sweetheart deals with pharmaceutical companies. Its not a bad idea to have some government oversight or a single payer system, we just need to elect competent people, of either party, who are unwilling to whine about their inability to run a successful program.
Don't compare apples to oranges, we go in earlier, we are fanatical about seeing doctors and we are far more aggressive about treating it. We also have, as a whole, far less pollution and cleaner air, food and water. As time goes on these may prove to be the biggest influences.

Yes Im sure of it, as that is the only way to make Healthcare in the US a nonprofit industry.

In a conflict between healthcare and profits, profits come first, unless we FIX THE SYSTEM.

Thor Girl makes a good point. Being healthy has more to do with genetics than with what kind of health care you get.

In other words, pick the right parents when you are conceived. :)
