He was Roman Catholic. Many people were very upset that the Pope never Excommunicated him (that would mean he could not go to heaven) especially since if a person gets a divorce you are excommunicated. According to Vatican papers, the Popes inaction was because of a fear that Hitler would do to the Catholics what he was doing to the Jews.

I think that Hitler was raised a catholic but rejected the church's teaching when he was a teenager. The nazis did develop a religious variation of Christianity called something like "Positive Christianity" or "Progressive Christianity" that fitted in with how they saw what Christianity should be in regard to their belief.

Although Hitler paid lip-service to this I think that he in himself wasn't a religious man at all but realised that religion was a very good lever to help him get to where he wanted to be and it has been used as a control tool for populations for centuries.

Hitler was born a Catholic but after his mother had died had not practiced it when he went to Vienna . He believed in Destiny and Fate because of his survival in WWI and he developed an occult like practice concerning the Norse gods and his idea of the master race . He believed himself to be Master and thus really did not have God or any other religion in mind except he would be the people's religion.

He was raised as part of the Catholic Church, but he left religion before he entered adulthood. Thus, at the height of his power, he was actually closer to being Agnostic/Deistic or Atheist than to being Christian.

Adolf Hitler was born into a Catholic family. He upheld his faith up until the beginning of WW1. After this he began to research all types of mysticism and spirituality. He was very superstitious and believed that the gods had chosen him to lead Germany.

Hitler was raised by Catholic parents. He later renounced Catholicism . He has been quoted as saying he believed in Christ while he was in power so his religious beliefs were Christian.
