A bit of 3 by 2 and 6 foot long should do ???
Nope, you need to get it worked out if you don't know what to put in by a structural engineer.

Using Steel requires stress calculations to be completed by a charted and insured engineer. -- UK building regs.
Why not use concrete ? Far less restrictive.

depending on storeys and load bearing or not, single storey non load bearing= concrete beam. single storey load bearing= reinforced concrete beam, double storey non load bearing= reinforced concrete beam, double storey loadbearing= steel beam. for more info go to a reputable builders yard theyll tell you or contact a british builder and not a dodgy polish geeza.

consult a structural engineer. I expect though that they will need a tad more info than you provide here
