Hello.
It doesn't really matter who has "power" in terms of a religious message. enlightenment and spiritual development can be attained through figures who do not perform miracles and great wonders.
"There will come many false prophets, who will show you great signs and wonders"
From this biblical quote, it is evident that miracles and the such does not constitute for a religious ligitimacy.
Islamic belief stipulates that Muhammad's cause on earth was to be the seal of prophets and reveal god's final message to humanity. Power through visible signs does not constitute any part in determining the spiritual gain delivered through the prophets of religion.

Every prophet has his own miracles given by Allah the only one God.There is no competition among prophets.God gave miracles to prophet in line with its needs.for convincing its followers. The prophet only had a function for delivering the God's messages to humans. The heart of each human will be opened or closed in line with God's willingness.Abraham could not be burnt by fire..Moses could make a snake from his stick and could break the sea by beating it.Jesus could talk while he was a baby and could make a dead body alive.Muhammad pbuh could learn by heart the more than 6 thousand verses of holy Qur'an and could make ten times of foods for eating by his followers..All prophets were humans
They were born and died naturally. The greatest power is still on God.God has the power and God can give or take it easily if God wants it.What is wanted by God will be happened.(kun fa yakun)

he didn't came to make water into grape juice. God send him as a last prophet and gave him a book to guide people of this earth.
as far as Jesus is concern he was also a great prophet and God send him for the Jews of those days.
God didn't send the both prophet to show the power to the people. both the prophet's aim was to show the people a right path of God

To answer why one could do something that another can not.. Each Prophet was given certain Miracles this does not mean that one is stronger or having more power then the other.

I think they need to have a miracle competition to show who the best is. I think Mo. is ahead with the break the moon in 1/2 and rebuild it.

okay u weirdo, i ask you why is it that Muhammad (peace be upon him) could split the moon in two and prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) couldnt?
and I'll answer your daft question....
IN MY OPINION if all the prophets started doing all the same miracles it wouldnt be a big deal anymore would it?
NOTE: i sed peace be upon him after both prophets' names, which means i respect Jesus as much as Muhammad.
stop asking stupid questions please.
have a good day.

I can make water into grape juice. Does that mean I'm as powerful as Jesus?
Try not to be so shallow and simple-minded. Miracles are for the weak-minded and naive.

Maybe we should not compare. What if one was there with plenty of instant grape juice powder?
