You need to learn to throw away your pride. When someone insults your religion and you feel upset you are putting yourself ahead of God! In some respects you should thank the person for pointing out a sin that you can rid yourself of.

I don't know what you mean when you say ," I can't get it back". If someone speaks insultingly of your religion it only shows that they are immature and childish. You haven't really lost anything, but I realize that your feelings were hurt when this happened and I'm sorry that this happened.

People can believe different things about God and that is part of what causes there to be more than one religion. I don't see anything wrong if 2 people want to have a respectful discussion of the differences between their respective religions.

I believe that people who go around insulting people about their religion are either atheists (there is a lot of that in this forum) or they are not following the teachings of their own holy books.

If one really has religion, that personal and harmonious relationship with God, he may feel insulted but will not dwell on it but just let it go. Negative emotions, like anxiety, should not be entertained (Matthew 6:25). Bad thoughts are outside of our bodies but they can harm us if allowed to grow (1 Corinthians 6:18). So let it go. No one can harm God.

I used to cop a lot of slack about my religion and I still do in fact. It's really hard when someone insults you like that, I think that insulting someones religion is the worst thing anybody could do as it is so blantantly disrespectful. When people insult me I just laugh at them, they don't know anything about my religion and hey that's their loss. It's petty and immature and they'll grow out of it. Good luck though, stick by your faith and don't let the bastards get to you.

in truth you don't care what they said, that has nothing to do with your relationship with what gives you this opportunity.
