It depends. Whenever I am on Y!A R&S I'm not doing anything else so why not? Though I do tend to waste more time then I should.
But so far, I think for me it has been well spent. Where I live it is a predominately a christian area so my exposure to other belief systems was basically limited.
I've been exposed to quite a wide variety here. I hope that I have beared God's image. I'm sure I've joked around in ways that wouldn't be spiritually beneficial to anyone but that's not a sin.
I suppose it depends on your motivation. If someone is here to hook up with someone or have an emotional affair then that is not good. There are far more better sites for that then here.
If a person comes here to pick and to bash then there is simply no place for that kind of person.
If you are here to learn and spread your knowledge, then that is good.

Awwwwwwwwww, you shouldn't feel that way Jack. I think you make a great contribution to R&S. Furthermore, seeing your pretty face is one of the highlights of my day ;)
As for me, like someone else already said, if I'm able to help just one person with my answers then I believe my time in R&S has been well spent. My boss would most likely say otherwise though. What is this productiveness I keep hearing about?

Yes, I do. I wish I would spend more time here.
Perhaps you have taken events too personally. Let them who have eyes, see; and those who have ears, listen. Holding a flashlight up in the dark only seems senseless when the sun rises and the dark is no more.
Open and honest communication between humans is never wasted time. Fools can rant and rave (the empty drum often making the loudest noise), but say nothing.
Better to have a message (even if you do not believe that anyone is listening), than to arrogantly profess stupidity is wisdom.
If you feel that you are banging your head against the wall and your head hurts... stop banging it so powerfully and rapidly. Perhaps the wall needs the contact, however, so do not stop.

It's certainly broadened my knowledge of religions and religious bigotry. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
And of course there are people that I have come to know on here that I wouldn't have known otherwise; for that alone I'm very grateful.
So, all in all, I would say yes!
And I also think that you have made a great contribution on here, Jack. It definately wouldn't have been the same without you.

I've spent TOO much time on here, but I do believe it has been well spent. It enables me to stand up to the homophobes in the world and anytime one does that, it's a slap against immorality. So, it's been worth it.
And I disagree. You have added a lot of color and interesting questions to R&S. I'm glad you're here.

At the least, I can say that I've grown a thicker skin.
There's also the people I've gotten to know here.
So yeah, it has been time well spent.

I have backed off because I know some of my time can be better spent. You have been a polite and fun loving contributor. Your generosity of spirit in sharing your art and your wit has been appreciated. I am glad you chose to share part of your life with me, and I know I would miss you.

Jack, I think every one here, who has been here longer than just a few days or weeks asks themselves that very question every time they turn on the computer. Very good question. If you go, I go with you.
