how do i fix it, and is there a way to completely remove EVERYTHING, go back to dos and start over completely from scratch

Go to the VGA,(graphics card), manufacturer's website, look under Support>Downloads>Drivers,download the driver/s. If your graphics is built into your motherboard, you'll have to go to the computer manufacturer's website,(same navigation, as above). Don't know if it's built into your mobo, or if it's a separate card? Download the wee little program CPU-Z from CPUID.com. You'll be amazed at the info!

Millinium is difficult to set up and has lotsof problems besides no longer being supported. Go back to XP, it's much, much better!

download your VGA driver from internet and install.
XP build-in with more VGA support.
ME with less VGA support.
any unsupported VGA card must install its VGA driver.

do you have a software for your motherboard if your video is onboard or did you install your video card software?
