I have had 2 black cats (which they are actually dark brown) and neither of them had powers on Halloween or any other day. They have the power to hide and not be found at any time and they have the power to get you to wake up and not let you go back to sleep when they want something. Other than that, they are just like any other pet. All animals have a sense they can pick up like, the person that doesn't like cats, when they walk into a room, the cat will try their best to get that person to pay attention to them. They can sense you don't have time to pay attention to them and that is when they will sit on your keyboard to make you pay attention to them. LOL

They thought witches and warlocks had "familiars". These were animals like cats, owls and crows that had magic powers. And the witch or warlock could communicate with them.
I talk to my cats all the time so maybe that is where the superstition came from. But there are worse friends to have than a cat.
A lot of the witch myth was to persecute people who were different from the norm not because they were wicked.

wiccans believe thats cats are the best creatures for familiars. which means that they comfert them when things are wrong and that they can be used mainly as a medium. traditionaly black cats where used but any cat will have the same medium ability. on haloween (all halows eve and the day after all hallows day) some wiccans (witches) believe that the cats will be more active supernatruly as there are more spirits around than any other time in the year! hope this answered your question!

Lol, don't know, I have a black cat, it doesn't have any special powers, except the ability to lick itself in the most extraordinary places at the most inappropriate times. Apart from that, I don't think so.

The old saying is that If a black cat crosses your path, then you'll have bad luck. Although I think that for any day. It's a superstition.

All cats have the skill to enable us be what we were meant to be and love us in spite of ourselves! females who personal cats have a tendency to have a more advantageous quiet and swish walk about them. and that i assume that cats might want to tutor us the price of independence and self-reliance! As for the delivery day of your kitty, i do not characteristic success (good or undesirable) to any certain day of the 365 days, or to the colour of an animal. Your kitten is fortunate to have a doting servant like you - I say this because dogs have vendors, cats have servants! i'm curious in spite of the indisputable fact that about the call of your buddy.

They grant wishes, turn peanut butter into cheddar cheese, spoil milk and if you grab on by the tail it yells out the winning lottery numbers. No, it is just a cat.
