hello everyone
first off, I live in australia. my mum and dad were both born in australia and so was i. i am an australian citizen, always have been

however, I have recently been applying for jobs online and one of the required questions to be aswered is
1. Australian Citizen? (yes/no)
2. Residency Visa? (space with box to write)

Question: what am I meant to write in that box? I cannot find an explanation anywhere of 'what visa' i have. i didn't even know i had a visa!! i am just an australian!!

help!!!!!!!

Visa means you're allowed to be working in that country. That's all. If you're NOT an Aussie, then you should have a Visa to be in the country. You'll be right to ignore the second box.

Give a tick mark YES in question number 1.You do not have to write anything in the box 2..just keep it blank. If you are born in Australia you do not require any kind of Visa. But you must have your Australian Passport or Driving License ready to prove your employers that you are an Australian . Also you must have your Tax File Number (TFN) ready because all employers will ask for that.

Just leave it blank - you are an Australian Citizen so you do not need to fill those questions out.

It's standard for them to ask on any job application forms so they can see the potential employer is legally allowed to work in the country if they are on a working visa etc...
