If you don`t you probably should. Since Osiris, Isis, Horus - are all apart of christian mythology. Most of the essential ideas concerning Christianity comes from the ancient Egyptian Gods.

Talk about copyright infringement.

Hawk - Datta Boy! Thats the way to jump around the question. Talk about mixing postulates. What does abiogenesis have to do with Christianity stealing concepts from Ancient Egypt?

After just finishing a fascinating 24 lecture set on comparative religions it just reaffirmed the fact that almost nothing in the religion is original. Why most can't christians see just how unoriginal their stories are (especially the OT) is really beyond my comprehension. Of the 24 lectures 23 of them were comparisons between, older stories and the ones of the Hebrew bible.

The best example is the story of Utnapishtim the hero of the original flood epic. The story is far superior to the OT story and the OT story is so blatantly stolen it is incredible. Even down to the birds being released. There are differences but the similarities are striking.

Like most of the mythology of the OT the flood story has been blow into absurd proportions to say "look our god created a bigger flood, a more impressive flood". What isn't borrowed in the OT is there to refute the teachings and claims of the earlier cultures.

If you took the Egyptian, Hittite, Sumerian and Babylonia mythology out of the OT there wouldn't be much left.

have you ever read the bible? im an anthropology student ive studied all religions around the world. first of all if you havnt done your homework then why are you posting ridiculous posts like this. if you have done research you would know that satan and the fallen angels declared that THEY would be like the most high. the beast from pit from the book of revelation is the sun god aka halios, io, ao ios, apollo, (the beast with many names) that all pagans and occultists worship all around the world through symbols and cryptography etc. the so called catholic faith wanted to decieve christians into joining catholicism combined with pagan and ancient babylon mystery religions. it worked. all other christians were burnt alive by the catholic pagans. you need to open your eyes because all these youtube videos must be getting to your head. a favorite thing for pagans to do is to mask themselves as christians like most politicians today. many christians today dont know squat because they dont bother researching for themselves. the bible talks about how satan will infiltrate the church. you must also think that the jesus everyone thinks they know has long hair and a feminine face WRONG. all those blasphemus pictures all are doing masonic symbols. no real christian picture would have any halos around there head because thats pagan and it also one of the many marks of the beast. paganism is trying so hard to destroy pure christianity. if you know jesus the savior you would know that he came here to fulfill all righteousness. what does horus have to offer you? besides idolatry, and immorality. why do most real harcore pagans, masons, crowley followers absoilutley hate and want to destroy christianity. theres a reason. your not fooling me and i hope others arnt stupid enough to believe what you wrote.

2000 years ago Jesus was born, 2000 years before him, a father was born(Sphinx), 2000 years before him was the Pharaoh, the beginning of civilizations, by then, Egyptian Priests makes the Pharaoh Gods to saved humanity from the chaotic order of the world... "eat or shall be eaten, multiply or perished"

But for a riddle that baffles me too... the Egyptian Bulb. Look for them.

do you ever wonder if god said you shouldn't worship any gods before me that its a clue that there are OTHER gods? Why would he/it have said it otherwise?

sounds like insecurity issues to me.

ne way, alot of the religions are the same, closed minded people aren't willing to admit that what they have going is the same as everyone else just under a different name. Really, if it's not the same god, where did the others go?

Before there was Egyptian gods, there is the One True God & Jesus His Son.Creator of the seen & unseen. I believe that would be copyright infringement from the Egyptians.

ALL things are derivative, everything was built upon something that came before. Only the delivery can be thought of as new.

Atheist, do you believe in magic? You should. You believe in abiogenesis and that takes a lot of faith to believe in.

Supposedly, it has only happened once on this planet. ONLY ONCE. That takes a really big leap of faith ;)

My belief in science doesn't exclude God.
