I was just going through to pick out a B/A and it got me to thinking.

Maybe worst answer loses 5 points. it would reduce spam and ignorance. Perhaps it is an optional choice?

I do know this will never happen.

OMG you have no idea. I also wish they would let you give thumbs down to questions. Whoever said there are no stupid questions never spent any time on Y!A.

That is perfect. I vote for it. I wish they would pull points from people falsely reporting violations. I see quite a few people, along with myself got targeted again today. Worst answers and false violations. That would stop all the garbage. Great idea.

They used to let you thumbs down questions- I wonder why they took that away?

Even better- I think they should require you to give your home address, and every time you got a worst answer, you'd get a can of potted meat sent to your house.

Though some would have a warehouse full by now.

I'd just like to know who gives the thumbs up / down, like they do with the stars.

My other big beef is that when we write additional comments, I would like to be able to attach them to specific answers (so I don't have a mile long question that is just remarks I have made to answerers).

I think things would be worse because some people would actually try to get the worst answer.

is the asker not allowed to pick the worst answer? even rebellious answerer's? what's to say you don't have a shot at the points anyway. it's just not advertised as well as best answer.

Yes, tried asking a similar question. It got deleted even though there was nothing illegal about it. Kinda makes me wonder.

Yes, with at least a 10 point deficit.
