sounds like you're just trying to fit in and you feel that nobody understands you or accepts you for you. Trying to find that certain click of friends is sometimes hard to do. Have you tried to mix within groups at school? At the same time while doing that, you get to meet a lot of new people and have a chance of making new friends. It amazing how once you get into the groove, you'll find people with the same interests and friendships start to blossom.
If you stay home all the time and wallow in pity, you won't find much happiness. Actually, you'll quickly feel what happiness you have, drain right out of you. I find if I go out and keep busy, I don't have much time to be sad. Sure, I get bored a lot, but I always find something to do. I go shopping by myself when I'm blue and I'm not blue for very long. I like some solitude, but not too much otherwise I go stir crazy.
Maybe you're a quiet and shy person. In that case, you gotta start practicing overcoming your fears of engaging in social situations. You'd be surprised how many friends that I met through casual acquaintances, it's all about doors of opportunity and if you don't start knocking.. nobody is going to answer. If you keep your mind in the dark, you're never going to see personal sunshine to peek through.
Also, it helps to write when you're feeling blah. I write poetry or pretend to write a book.. it's just pretend because I can't write more than an intro. lol I also google funny videos to cheer up or go to joke pages. Sure it's always a struggle, but it's nice to have friends that take care of you. Just be yourself and there are people out there that will definitely appreciate your friendship and be there when you're feeling sad.
Oh yea.. be careful with your eating habits.. too much processed and fatty foods will drag you down into the blues. Exercise is good too. You should take a dance class or something, that's always cool to do and meet nice ppl. Since you are projecting negativity and fading your self image.. that's no good. Too much negative thinking and self doubt is poisonous. Happiness is contagious with the right people, maybe think of if your current friends are right for you or if they might be an anchor that's dragging you down. Remember, it's hard to make yourself happy by yourself.. populate and get out there, you'll find ppl to make you happy.

you may need to go get psychiatric help, sounds like you may be manic depressive, or going through a phase... I went through one when I was 16 or 17, and they actually diagnosed me as being manic depressive. I hated the feeling of having to be on drugs all the time, so I stopped taking them. I grew out of it I guess... you'll be fine.
