have you seen a doctor??? if not do so, will be needed for your case.
2Nd
yes get a lawyer..and yes 33% is the going rate...did he tell you that you owe nothing if you don't win???
Insurance companies will not deal with you directly as they will with an attorney...
so 1st get to doctor, 2nd get a lawyer....
3rd keep records of all conversations...names dates times....keep reciepts for all out of pocket expenses,
4th keep track of time lost from work and its worth...

Determine the Extent of Damage or Injuries
File a Car Accident Report with the Police
Discuss the Car Accident Only with the Police
Get the Facts
Call you Insurance Agent
Call your agent or insurance company's 800-number immediately, even at the scene with the police if possible. Sometimes the police officer can give your insurance company more accurate information rather than information you may not be recording properly because you are upset by the accident. This can save you a lot of time later waiting for your claim to be processed.
Remember also that if your car has been totaled, your settlement must include taxes, title and license fee for a comparable replacement. Likewise, the settlement must make clear the value of any deductions taken on account of salvage matters if you're keeping your totaled car. ( link two )

Don't rush off to give 30% of the claim to a lawyer. Yes, that's the normal amount. Your lawyer needs to get paid, too, somehow. I just would wait and see what happens with the insurance companies, before jumping on the lawyer bandwagon.
You need to put it through YOUR insurance first. Give his contact information to YOUR insruance, and let them contact him. It's not unusual for three business days to go by, before you hear from the other insurance company.
And, if you have rental coverage on your policy, then you can get the rental, and go to work. Sounds like this might be a multi-vehicle accident. In which case, it's even MORE important to get your insurance company involved. What if his insurance has been cancelled? Then YOUR insurance will have to pay out, anyway. That's one reason they might not have contacted you.

Call and ask his insurance how you need to go about getting the Medcal bills to them from the CHiro. That ususally gets them moving...They will want to sign you off as cheaply as possible. My insurange had to pay for an accident my sone had and they wanted to sign him off in 9 months. I think you need to see a Chiro for a while. If they will not work with you find a lawyer that make appt that do not conflict with your work schedule. You just need to ask for more if the lawyer is taking 33%. I have heard that they will get anywhere from 30% to 60% so I think you 33% is a fair amount....well maybe not fair but about Normal. Best of luck to you.

Do you have insurance? I think your insurance company should be helping you with the other insurance company. I wouldnt contact a lawyer until I knew what I was dealing with with the insurance companies.

I assume you have contacted your own insurance company, who should deal with this matter.
As for "no win - no fee" lawyers, be careful, it's a jungle out there.
Answered as UK question - assume similar/same if "freeway" means you are in the US.

No you do not need a lawyer just yet. I would just go to the chiropracter. If you are in pain it is likely you have whiplash. The chiropractors usually have their own lawyers and take care of everything for you. I went through it before and it does get better. Sorry I know it hurts. Take some excedrin.

33% is the standard lawyer's cut in vehicular negligence lawsuits. So if he wins you an award of $300,000, he gets $100,000 and you get $200,000 from the other driver's insurance company. Most of these lawsuits are settled by the lawyers, out of court.

definitely contact a lawyer. Do you really think it's fair to go through all of this when it was that idiot's fault??? He wasn't paying attention or too close and now he's destroyed your only method of transportation and you might have to miss work on top of that??? Sue!

Get a lawyer; wht is your problem-did you get the proper insurance id and trafiic violation ticket-Go to a doctor and tell thm tht you have neck probs due to the accident. You shld have done tht immediatley, after the wreck occurred. Because you didnt do tht, the situation tht you are in will not be resolved in the manner tht it shld be- to your favor!!!
