Any dog should be bathed as little as possible as it is not good for them (it is entirely for us humans to lessen the smell and for them to look good). The rule of thumb for a Rottie is twice per year.

Just like your hair, a dog has natural oils in the hair, you must be careful not to remove them (use a good shampoo). Puppies especially need to be dried very well, use an extra towel.
It's not a bad idea to give a small meal, and a Rottie will never refuse food, just after a bath in that it helps the puppy replace some needed calories for their core temperature.
As far as how often to give a bath, well that is up to you, but my philosophy is only when needed, not more than once a month - if that.

When I worked in a grooming salon, we recommended every 6 to 8 weeks. Much more often than that, and you can dry out the dog's skin. My girls get bathed about every 4 weeks, but one of mine is a service dog that has to be kept clean because she is out in public so much. I always use a remoisterizer on her because we do bathe her so often.
I know puppies can be messy, but normally you can spot clean them with a damp washcloth. If they do get very dirty though, go ahead and bathe them. I don't recommend most puppy shampoos as they do dry out the skin quite badly. I do like oatmeal based shampoos or even better, coconut based shampoos. I also, don't usually wash a puppy's face with anything more than a damp washcloth and only use the shampoo from his neck back (puppy shampoos are tearless, but most others are not). A lot of store grooming shops have puppy specials until they are 4 to 6 months old and include ear cleaning/plucking and the nail trim.

I'd say about once a month, if they need it. I have a 9 wk. old rottweiler and he has had one bath, when he sat in his pee, otherwise he wouldn't have had a bath yet. My dogs always get a little dirty when they go outside, so I usually just get a wet washcloth or papertowel and wipe them down. If you bath your dog too frequently like, "once or twice a week", it can cause skin problems, that need to be treated by a vet.

I agree with DP. My vet said the same thing. Only bathe your dog if he absolutely needs it. I bathe my dog about 3 times a year, every 4 months, at the most.

Not too often, dogs skin dry out with too many baths. Use conditioning soap if dog smells bad. Or more than 1 ever couple months.

You shouldn't bath a dog at all unless he needs it. They have protective oils on their coat, that protects the skin and coat.. If you bath them you remove this protective coating, and cause all sorts of problems.

are not getting him extra advantageous than two times each week. it is going to reason their oil glands to dry out, then u have yet another situation. I supply my domestic dog a bathtub each time she smells rather undesirable. in any different case I supply her a bathtub two times a month (?) With tooth brushing tho u ought to do it two times each week or so (whilst ur vet says its okay to)
