I assure you that the world will not end on December 21, 2012 or in the near future. Nostradamus prediction when the earth will end is far into the future, past about 3700. The Mayan’s Mesoamerican Long Count calendar forms the basis for a New Age belief, first forecast by Jose Arguelles, that a cataclysm will take place on or about 21 December 2012 (Wikipedia).

In the book of Revelation, it tells us about a period of a thousand years of peace. Has this occurred already since the time of Jesus? Not yet. That will still come. Those that give such predictions as 2012 and numerous times during the past are pseudo-preachers. Have they talked to God directly? If so, give proofs.

But there is something that is certain—and that is our physical death. This is what we should prepare for. It may come when least expected. We do not know the day and the hour. It will come like a thief in the night. So we just have to be prepared all the time. Search for the true God and when we find Him, follow His commandments and remain in Him until our last dying breath.

This is all that we have to do. It is faith in Him that we can take with us when we depart from this world. If we deny Him, He will deny us also before the Father in Heaven. If we know Him and love Him and followed His commandments, then He may reward us to live with Him eternally in His kingdom in Heaven. This is the survival kit that we should have.

I think that you need to pay more attention to that show when you see it. At the beginning of the show, they talked about the end of the world, but not towards the end.

The Mayan prophesy had to do with a change. A change in time periods, not the end of the world. As the Bible also is indicating a change, not the end of the world until later.

I think there is a connection, I think that the Mayans got it from the Toltecs, who also gave knowledge to the Aztecs. And they have a correlation to the Hyksos of Egypt - where the indigenous people didn't know squat about what ended up being there, but a visiting people built what we see today.

I see that there is a lot of interest in these things now. I hope the research can continue. I still have to research it more myself.

The Bible says that no one will know the hour of the end. That the Christian god will come like a thief in the night. Which, considering what his followers seem to be like, is about the only way he or any of them are getting into MY home. The Mayans and Nostradamus didn't say that the world would END in 2012. They said it would fundamentaly CHANGE! Like the magnetic poles would switch, screwing up the weather, the sun would rise in the west and set in the east. The sky would melt, the seas boil, the earth shake. Cats and Dogs living together. Madness!

I say it's one big load of crap and can care less as long as i have fun each and every day until i do perish. Religious nuts were saying the year 2000 was going to kill everybody too. I remember working at a gas station back in 1999 when i was young and some crazy lady riding a bike and screaming "get out while you still can". It was a few weeks away from New Years and the lady was cruising around on her banana bike and yelling nonsense.

I think it could be any day now! The BIBLE explicitly says that such knowledge is FORBIDDEN to man, but one can look at the signs of the times that Revelation speaks of, compare them to the news on CNN and understand that our time is short! Though I don't believe it will be 2012 because the Mayan calendar SAYS SO, it doesn't mean they didn't "guess correctly".

At 2012 after Christ is not near to the time allowed for Satan from Eden.

Year 6073 now in 2007, is 6078, in 2012, Satan is allowed 6130 years to make a mess of everything, death for that long, Rev.12:3,4,6-11,12; have 1/3 angels and only God knows how many rebel humans, 1Cor.15:22-28; death and Satan Heb.2:9,14,16; will end, he's caused the heavens and the earth 2Pet.3:13; to have to be made as new as before Eden in Rev.20:1-6,12,13; no Satan 1000 years, Rev.21:1-5; so 7130 years after he began to mess it up, Jesus has it all SAVED and perfect for God, all perfect will remain.

I thought nostradamus said the world would end in 1999, and it didn't. Maybe we will die in 2012, but I prefer to think not. Many people will die of things such as sickness and poverty in 2012, but probably not all.

Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. One thing for sure, Christ warned that no one would know the appointed time, only the Father in heaven.
"Bible-code" is poppycock
The Mayans are dead and made a calender to a distant date and stopped for a coffee break.
Nostradamus, the charlatan of his day.
That's what I think.

I think you're deliberately trying to kill me before 2012 even gets here with this question.
