sometimes i stumble on words, or i get plain speechless, and i am afraid of bothering her and afraid i just dont know what to do, I am also really close to her ex (I think its her ex) and I really dont know what to do most of the time, I really do like her, and I really do value friendship so i just want some advice or opinions

just forget at the moment thayt u have any feelings or weakness for her.
begin witha normal friendship,like hi,hello...slowly try n learn her activities,likes and dislikes...then proceed

What makes you think some chum, like myself, on Yahoo! Answers can give you a better answer?
The key is confidence! If you think you can take good care of her and be a good boyfriend, then speak up.
It really shows a sign of weakness that you have to consult others what to do, and girls (generally) hate that. Hope to never hear such questions from you again. Assert that confidence.

First of all, make sure her ex is not a close friend of yours.....
I mean personally I would not want any of my girlfriends to date any of my ex bf.Make sure your friend is ok with what you are trying to do....but either way i disagree, but that's just me :)
Second, there are many girls out there! find someone who will not ruin your social life.

Just tell her how you feel, we women like when a guy just expresses the way he feels about us. we're not looking for the guy with the best pick up line, we're interested in the man who express his true feelings boldly. Because we're worth it. thrust me don't want to waste your time wondering you'll never know until you approach her, and 9 times out of 10 shes waiting for you to come over and ask her out. We women like to be pursued. So go get her Boy!! Trust me I'm the same situation this guy likes me, and I like him to but hes too shy to talk to me and I'm not making the first move because for one he liked me first # two women like to be pursued, and if he doesn't approach me then he just wasn't that interested, that's how I'm going to look at it. If her ex has moved on, that should be no problem. Just ask her if she would like to get together sometime.
