Hey. I believe when you die all reality seizes to exist. i would like you to prove me wrong. all religions seem to point to a "heaven" however not all living things go to heaven, assuming their is one. so what happens to them?
this is what most likely happens to us. eternal nothing
we have all entered a game we can not win.
their will be a moment in everyones life when nothing matters.
i do not fear dying its the whole death part

so what happens to every animal that does not have a soul? what is so special about us other then the fact that we write the story?

yea i did supose and then assume it was the truth because it seemed most logical and i wanted to make a decision. i dont feer suffering i fear not existing, i would rather suffer for eternity then stop existing in 1 way or the other. i dont realy buy into reincarnation, besides i still would not be happy with this outcome, if some one was reincarnated then they lose all past knollege and experiences, might as well not exist

Wiccans believe in reincarnation (well most do) meaning you come back as someone else. Then after all your life lessons are learned you go to summerland.

But Socrates said death is either a long peaceful sleep that you have never before experienced or a chance to meet everyone that has ever lived. Either way, why fear this?

edit: touch`e

In a way you have made a first step on answering your question but it will take years of asking it to get an answer. First of all don't dismiss faith out of hand. If after looking into it you are convinced that there is nothing to it, at least you looked. If you truly are atheistic, nothing anyone says or anything you read will change your mind. If you do have your mind changed then it will be your decision. But do yourself a favor and start looking. I personally don't believe that we cease to exist at death. I think we are actually 4 dimensional beings intersecting a three dimensional plane, like a ball touching a flat piece of paper. If you lived in flatland all you see of the ball is the simple point where it touches the paper but there's a huge ball above in the three dimensional plane. I think our universe is like that . a large part of us is never seen because it is in the next higher dimension, the spiritual dimension (for lack of a better term but its an actual level of existance as concrete as this one is just one more mathematical dimension higher . Nothing that happens to us here even effects the greater part of us up there. Not even death, its just that that little part of us here (our bodies) is dead, but not the real us. And God (an even higher dimensional being) has prepared a safe place for us on the next level and we call that heaven, where there is no time or decay of matter like on this plane that our universe exists in. Extra dimensional space has already been proven and I think that in the not terribly distant future will will have a far greater understanding of all the dimensions above us, even possibly the laws of physics of the higher planes. Edit: Ill look try googling higher dimensional space or even string theory. but you might get a bunch hippy-new age mumbo jumbo. There is a Book called God and the new physics that was written awhile back, I wish the physist that wrote it would rewrite it with all the new knowledge of the last 15 years.

Your soul returns to the Creator, who gave you the breath of life. Death holds no fear to me, I will no longer be in this shell, called a body, I will be in the presence of God Almighty. Perhaps it is not knowing the reason or purpose you are here in this life, that gives you pause. Perfect Love casts out all fears.
I can not prove what I know with my heart and soul & my mind. Just as I feel the air blow outside & feel it across my face-I don't know where it comes from or where it will go, but I know it is the wind. The falling leaves dance with the wind and has no fear of where they fall. May it be so, one day within your soul.

I do not know if you know about either creationism or atheism. I myself am a Christian and believe God made this universe with living and non living things.

But if I were an evolutionist. I would look at the process of evolution and notice that life began from nothing.living. Yet when it started it did not evolve just one type of life form.but many.

And from this general process of evolution we see that what we call death is not really death at all. But it is a change in life form or life cycle. Whatever caused life for all life to live has never gone away. It would imply that death as we know it may not be a final event. Instead it is a change.

It is a change as a caterpillar changes to a butterfly. Or as seasons change and winter's barren trees are covered with the new green leaves of spring time. Just as hope comes after despair.

As a Christian I do believe in life after death. I do believe Jesus Christ arose from the dead. And that he lives in heaven and longs to make a little heaven in our hearts, If we let him. God is the maker of all things. He has shown us their is life after death, with caterpillars and butterflies, and through the seasons and the trees that live through the winter.

Hey man, you can believe anything you want. But where is your basis for this belief - your own wishful thinking?

The most reputable Book in the world - the all time best seller year after year - and which just happens to be the Word of God - says quite differently.

One thing is for sure - you will see!

I believe that when a person dies his soul is taken before a higher force to be judged as to what that individual has done upon this earth to earn there right to be in a heavenly world, promised by God which was given at the begining. Through his son Jesus, to share of such a world.
Jesus sits on a throne, to rule in this kingdom un-beknown by man until the time of judgement,
Do we christians strive to forsee such a place

It would seem that you made your own religion. I could tell you what I have gleaned from the pages of the Bible, but it would be contrary to what you just stated.

If that's what you believe, did you ever ask yourself why you believe it? I mean, did you just suppose and then decide that it was the truth?

If I believe that my true existence is Spiritual and you do not. Does it make any difference? Will I cease to exist? or will you exist as an insignificant? Or what?

Religions don't believe things go to heaven, they believe souls go to heaven. Most things don't have souls... only humans, as far as we can determine (and that's only a guess).
