You can find the American Society of Radiologic Technologists most recent salary survey here: http://www.asrt.org/content/rts/surveyresults/wageandsalarysurvey/wagesalsurvey2007.aspx

I worked in a radiology dept as a transporter for a couple of years. I do know that MRI has a lot of physics involved, but like any job, learning on the job is easier. Most Rad techs started out doing regular x-rays, but moved to CT while learning MRI. Either way they'll all make some pretty decent money. Travelling tech's make real good money, when I worked there they made around 30 per hour.

My sister is a Rad Tech. Unfortunately, like with many fields, you would have to do X-Ray. Perfect this and you will move up. My sister did X-Ray, CT-Scan and now travels and works on a mobile MRI truck. For the most money - Nuclear Medicine/Radiology is your best bet.
