Only the people who are fortunate enough due to their past karmas get blessings.. blessings are very powerful coz they are given from the bottom of the heart.. that reflects pure love! What is more powerful than love?!
Some times, we say that smthing bad has happened to us, yet it turns out to be a 'blessing in disguise' coz if we are on the right track, we can compensate less effective "curse" with the Most powerful blessings of our well wishers.. n God..

Not powerful enough. A real powerful blessing would have been to have the 9/11 terrorists convert on 9/10.

Dear Friend,
Blessings really work wonders.
But not all blessings by all.
The person who is blessing shall be an elder to us , if younger he should be a Great scholar ( by his Vidvath he becomes respectable and he can bless) and those persons shall be leading a noble life with a noble mind.
Their hearts shall be pure and they shall always utter only Truth(Satyam vadisyaami.Ritam vadisyaami).
They shall be God fearing (or see God affectionately as their family member.And daily they shall recite the invocations as prescribed.
They shall be free from Kaama,Krodha,Moha.Mada.Maatsaya and Lobham.
They find their happiness in others happiness.
When such person who wish that entire Viswam (Universe) shall be happy ,who pray daily for the happiness of all people,animals and living beings and other inanimate things even will have wonderful Sankalpa power.
If they whole heartedly bless one that must HAPPEN,So powerful or their blessings.They can work wonders .

The most powerful thing is self-responsibility. Accept responsibility for all of your life and you will be empowered beyond anything you can imagine. That approach will result in having to see yourself as you really are, rather that who you wish to be.
I also believe blessings are wonderful, just don't believe as you've asked, the most powerful thing.
