Question for Non-Muslims?

After the answers I recieved off my last question, it seems that Muslims claim that anyone who devotes there life to God is Muslim, including Abraham (and his kin), Moses and Jesus.

I'm not comfortable with that answer because it means that anyone who is not alive today can be labeled anything because they're not around to defend themselves. It's implying that Jesus and Moses would support curent day Islam, including their traditions and customs as well as beliefs. I'm Christian and I know Jesus wasn't a Christian, he was a Jew, and I'm not going around calling Moses and Abraham Christians.
At the same time, If i created a religion where Muhammad seemed to fit right in, do you think Muslims would approve of me using the name of their profit?
My questions are these:
Do you think people like Abraham, Moses and Jesus would call themselves Muslim if you were able to ask them today? Do you think they Muslims would be upset if another religion used Muhammad as a figure in theirs?

Jesus and Moses died hundreds of years before Muhammad did, so there's no way of knowing.
You have to accept Muhammad's teachings to become Muslim. Deny them and you're not Muslim.

Open a business selling religious items with the picture of Muhammed on them . Say you want to promote Islam . Prepare to have your head chopped off !
Actually the Sun Yun Moon (Moonie Religion) fits Muhhamed in the same way Islam fits in Jesus , and the Catholics fit in Moses .

I think that you are just jealous. Muhammad is brother of Abraham, Moses and Jesus ( peace be all of them) and When Jesus comes back He will pray with the Muslims at Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem.
He will lead the muslims in prayer thus he will pray just like Muhammad(saw) Prayed.
The world will be in peace everyone submitting to Allaah(swt) and worshipping none but Him.
Jesus(as) will then die a natural death, as he is not dead now and he is in heaven, He must come back and die.

Islam is a blessed religion it started with a prophet Muhammad and will end with a prophet Jesus(peace and blessings be upon all Allaahs messengers and prophets)

The answer is to create your own religion where you invoke all worshippers of Muhammad as intrinsically believers of your religion, and see how quickly the death threats accumulate.

From a Jewish perspective, I can tell you that neither Abraham nor Moses would call themselves Muslims.
They were Jewish, in every sense of the word.
