With all of the "hidden" messages in the movies, why do some people say that Disney movies are so "Christian"?
What is your opinion about Disney, or what people are saying in relation to Christianity?

There are weird websites with weird suggestions, but these seem to cover some of the basics:

I am a younger baby boomer and a novice artist and I have never thought of Disney as Christian. I just thought as Disney as acceptable for children. However, it would be interesting to look at the cartoons and movies made while Walt Disney was alive and in charge...ok so he did acid, etc...but that doesn't mean he was in to subliminal sexual art in his movies or cartoons. All I can see are examples of Disney movies SINCE his death and so YES I do believe that the "new Disney" would use subliminal sex to draw attention to the movie. I remember as a child there was a commercial about Cougars cars, now this was back in the early sixties and I always loved the Cougars...still do. I remember that on top of the sign in the the air high up with a cougar on it and for maybe a second it looked like a Naked woman, and at first I thought I was seeing things and kept watching it and realized that it was in fact a naked woman. So yes I think that sort of thing is done often in advertisement. Unfortunately. I will have to more closely preview these Disney movies. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

People tend to equate "family" movies with Christian. For a long time Disney was the name for family movies. But for the sake of selling more admission tickets, the company compromised the family standard. I remember when Disney put out their first PG rated movie, "The Black Hole," a space flick that had some gory stuff and a few swear words, just to get the rating so more people would come see the movie. Its gone downhill since then.

When I grew up, Disney used to have a movie on every week on Sunday at 6PM. They were good movies that had a lot of quality to them. Disney abandoned their squeaking clean family movies and started backing shows like Ellen. It didn't help when Ellen said in a 1997 episode
"Let's go out and terrify some Baptists,"
Baptists starting boycotting ABC and Disney and they lost a boat load of money for years. Fox Broadcasting then beat ABC in the sweeps because the Ellen show was a dud.

I dont think they are religious. I think they just incorporate the message that good will conquer evil.
Why are there hardly any 2 parent disney families?
If a corporation can make a lot of money while making a lot of people happy and sending a good message in the movies that kids are watching then good for them. Corporations exist to make money.
We could all use a little more happily ever after and hope in the world.

I think Disney is a for-profit corporation in which I own stock.
None of their proxy letters say a thing about Christianity.
Welcome to capitalism.
Lots of people have issues with the fact that Disney is one of the more progressive employers regarding sexuality- ie, offering benefits to partners of homosexuals.
Also, their Gay Pride day seems to upset people who want gays to stay in the closet. It doesn't bother me a bit. I don't attend as I'm miles away and straight. Every day is straight day for the rest of us.
Oh, and the hidden messages bits are probably pranks by some animators. Nothing more to worry about, okay?

I've never met anybody that said that... although there are several examples of Christian allegories in Disney stories. But to call them 'Christian' would be an incredible stretch.

I don't know about "Christian," but Disney himself was RABIDLY anti-semitic; that's pretty well-documented. Ironic now given Michael Eisner's rise :-)
