While learning medical coding of the ICD-9-CM index, I saw a listing for attemted suicide with a paintball gun.
How the *#*@ could someone whack themselves with a frigging paintball gun?
Could someone explain this one to me, please?

I have no idea... I only had one experience with a paintball gun, and that was getting shot at by some f***ing children while I was riding my bike. I'm glad they missed!

Maybe stick it in your mouth? Might knock them out and choke on the paint??? Maybe he was just trying to get someone's attention.

freeze the paintballs.. or stick a AA battery in the barrel and shoot that... get paintballs and inject them with cyanide and shoot em into your mouth... i dunno thats just a few. im sure these crazy kids will think of more
