I know it would have to be from a very bad infection or bed sores but one particular person I heard about was infected in four to five areas of his body with maggots coming from all areas.Idon't think that his wounds were cleaned properly.I apologize to those who may easily be sick or offended.

If the person was alive.... it is sick..... cuz they were living in unsanitary conditions..
and yes.. it is from very bad wounds.. and not keeping it clean and covers..

If the person was dead..
wheather they were inside or outside.. maggots always enter the body.. sick,, huh?

flies can find them regardless unless removed and put in a cool place.. (morge)

they may not be maggots. maggots take 2-3 days before hatching. they cant be transferred in any way unless the mother laid her eggs on that part of the body. i think those worms are actually parasites that have been living on your body.

i had an experience once when i was cleaning a patient's wound and it happens to be on her breast. when i inserted the cotton applicator inside the wound, something pulled it inside. i was agitated at first, but when i pulled the applicator, a white worm (looks like ascaris to me) came with it.

yeah. and maggots eat only dead/ decaying flesh. a fly wouldnt lay eggs if the flesh isnt decaying.

For those interested, maggots can be used to actually clean the wound of infection, click on the link below.

Maggots can only eat dead flesh. The parts they were on they were eating- meaning those parts of him were decaying with infection. Sounds somewhat like gangrene which means amputation or death.
