Well think of things he wouldn't normally expect from you maybe an idea, Be something to him that only you can be and no-one else, Take him by his hand and say its my night to surprise you and you can't say no to anything..I have planned to do with you. IDK just an idea from a guy who is over 40

a combintaion of suprise, flower,originality, choclate, blindfolds and poems/ note.
for ex: take her to a romantic spot, give her box of chocolates, and insidethat boxisanotherand another and anoter and naother.until there is just a tiny little box , and inside that box is a map and that leads her to an even more romantic place (or some event thatshewanted to go to{ex: baseball game, opera, i dunno}) and then give her your flower with a letter saying i love u!!! let me know how it goes i am very interested

if you're talking about taking them somewhere special or doing something special take them to a spa and get full body massages or something. that's always a great treat.
