I have to go to a library to do "community service" hours and there is one guy, very sweet, nice, and friendly...

He was saying that he KNOWS there are real vampires and that he has been "drinking" since he was 6... He said his wife has gotten his blood because he was bleeding and his words were "she attacked" him because she wanted to "get to his blood"...

Now he was serious and it was like normal conversation, the way he was speaking... if that makes any sense... not like he was trying to "scare"

He is gothic-ish and has mentioned being Pagan a few times...

What is this about? I have never met anyone like this... It doesn't freak me out I am just really confused about him... he seems normal but he says things that blow my mind.

Is he joking or are there really people who do this kind of thing? I mean he doesn't have anyone to impress at the library as it is mostly kids there and he is in his 20's. He is actually really, really good with the kids. He isn't all that odd.

Once again this isn't meant to offend anyone. He said all of that stuff and it kinda has stuck in my mind...

He did mention that he takes anti depressants... I don't know... I have never heard anyone talk like this unless they were joking and it seems clear that he isn't. But he would seem very completely normal if he didn't say anything about blood and naming songs he wants played at his funeral... or even mentioning that he takes anti depressants.

Sorry mikk... the anti depressants aren't a clue for anything other than being depressed as I am on them for that reason.

People do practice this sort of thing. It's not that they are the comic book type of vampires. It is an unusual lifestyle choice.

Being Pagan has NOTHING to do with having a sick fetish like sucking someone else's blood! He is probably on anti-depressants because his wife likes to gnaw on him. Its just a crock - with it being Halloween. I am so sick of Halloween being villainized by the Church masses! If anything religion is the villain, it twists people in such a manner that they become delusional zealots! He's trying to impress with his "weirdness" - tell him to grow up! Then give him a book about what it actually means to be Pagan. Go read up on Vlad Dracul and some of the others. The Marquis de Sade would give you some incite into where this type of stuff leads.

Whatever you do, don't screw around with him because if he is drinking blood, he is an AIDS victim waiting to happen, and who knows whatever else he's picking up.

PS You know what - in Romania, one of the superstitions was that if a cat or dog crossed in front of the funeral procession or casket you ran the risk of being a Vampire - this is where this stuff originated. They would dig you up 3 days after planting you to make sure you were decomposing. If you were in a sealed crypt, you were perfectly preserved and this spooked the people who were at that time uneducated in the sciences. They would open the family crypt to deposit the newly deceased and see the preserved dead relatives and after the air started to hit the corpses they would decompose into dust. This led into the idea of the living dead.

What this man is doing is a direct strain from what all Blood worshipers have been doing since the Egyptian and Mayan days.

No, I do not believe that this man thinks he is the devil reincarnate. If he or you were to do some extensive searching throughout the history of man. You would come to the conclusion that "The human sacrifice" or "The worshiping of blood." Is one of the oldest and most concealed rights of those who believe that The Mayan calenders "long count" is sustained with the sacrifice of human blood. Mayans, Druids, egyptians... and even up to present day(Bohemian grove) believe that witnessing the pain and suffering of the loss of life
is to be cherished and repeated to keep the sun in it's rightful place in our galaxy.

This is no joke miss. Even presidents and Prime ministers still practice this ritual. It's is older then our culture. It is older than our civilization. And it is, without question, a giant step backwards in evolution. Wherewolves, Vampire's, no matter what he thinks he is, he and all others like him are practising deadly serious cerimonies.

Those cerimonies also sacrifice children and small, physically controllable animals. Again miss... THIS IS NO JOKE. This man might seem very sweet and softly spoken, but what he is ignorantly a part of is nothing short of the EXACT AN WHOLLY OPPOSITE OF THE WORD "HUMAN"

I cannot begin to tell you why hearing of him working in a place surrounded by children is completely unsettling to my very soul. You must do what you believe your duty to be.
It has never been my place to order anyone to do anything(That would go against my entire value system) But if
I were in your shoes, and there was some twenty-something telling me about blood sacrifice, I would distance myself as far away from his reach as possible.

And yes, I would tell the Head librarian immediately. If not for my peace of mind, but for that of the children he is surrounded with.

I don't know who you are, where you are, or how much wisdom you have gained in this world, but what I know is that what you decide to do will change your outlook on the world around you for the rest of your life.

This is no joke...This is no prank... If this misguided serious young man, then this is a serious matter.

And on a side note... Ted Kezinski, Charles Manson, Ted Bundy, They were all serial killer's. And when the cop's finally caught them and spoke with their neighbours, they all said the same thing. "But he was such a nice, sweet, and friendly young man."

Some people have the blood lust. It's really not unusual. I'm told that it's very addictive. The bloodline people drink blood all the time. I've read books from the bloodline that the best blood is full of adrenaline and they will literally scare a person to death to get them full of adrenaline before they drink. These people have copper in their blood where we have iron. They are very different from us under the skin.
I read over the other answers and I am amazed at how many people are so leery of someone that is different. Also, how little they know of such. This bloodline has a family tree that has been traced back to Cain. No kidding. They would drink the blood of fallen enemies and eat their flesh while they were alive. They see us as cattle, because they are so different from us and they have abilities that we don't. They have hidden themselves from the world due to persecution. But, they are real and they are the ones that kingship was handed down to. The right of kingship that the Pope stole from them so long ago with a forged document.

The Halloween season could be influencing him and he may have been watching too many spooky movies that have gone to his head.
So it could be a joke with the intent to shock as some people go to extremes and say anything to get a reaction out of others. In that case who knows where his mind his.
Then sad as it may sound, he may really be delusional and have a serious mental condition and needs ongoing treatment and the right medication to help him.

Either way, there are some people who never change or get help.

Well I don't know if he was being entirely honest with you
but there are real people out there that really drink human blood
They feel an adrenaline rush when they do this.
There are also special places where they get there blood from
in order to protect themselves from HIV and other STD's
They actually have blood donors just for them.
So they come in every week or so to collect the blood their donors leave for them at the blood bank.
There has been many documentaries on this subject.
It is very interesting, I think its called Vampirism and its when humans feed on other humans Energy.
of course they eat regular food but they get a certain rush when they are next to someone who is projecting a strong energy Or when they taste blood.
One guy who did this said he started when he cut him self while playing in the park when he brought his finger up to suck on where it hurt he tasted his own blood for the first time..And he said it made him feel so good. Also there are places where people go and get there k-9 teeth added so they can look like vampires and make them feel like vamps But no special powers or anything just weird habbits that we are not used to. I am going to see If I can find the website where I saw this or the name of the documentary so you can check it out.
I shall keep you posted

Oh but for now go rent the movie "Vampire Clan"
its based on a true story -It will give you a better understanding on this as well.
:)

-okay here is one site that might help

*ALSO about those answers here that told you to report him
Um, most of these Vampirist don't attack! lol
Like I said they are protective of STD & HIV
so they usually have partners they do this with or
donors. They are not the freaks your thinking of like in the movies where they go attacking others.
There is only so much blood they can take....Or they can get sick...http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_much_blood_can_a_human_drink_before_getting_sick

So my advice to you is to inform your self as much in these people before to profile them. Some are actually very smart and super friendly....

Yes it is a poorly kept secret that Goths are vampire keepers. I was once a Goth in Atlanta. They have three covens in Atlanta and the Goths guard them during the day and lure the homeless to them during the nigh for them to feed. It is turning winter and many of the homeless head to Miami and the Vampires migrate with the homeless. We only have about a dozen vampires stay and spend the winter in Atlanta. Don't listen to these people who will try and tell you there arent any vampires. Because they havent seen a vampire they deny that they exist. I'll tell you you will be surprised at the things people deny just because they havent seen any.
Good Luck BB

He may be joking but there are people that call themselves vampires. They're usually infatuated with the idea of them. They take on the lifestyle and will lick/suck the blood from open wounds. They don't have sharp enough teeth to feed like a vampire from a horror movie.

Condensed version: sometime around the last Ice Age humans diverged based on hunting/gathering patterns. Those who hunted exclusively at night (Homo Nocturnal) developed superior night vision, but commonly suffered from "sun allergy" due to their very fair complexions. Lack of exposure to UV radiation also made them seemingly remain young compared to those who lived in the daylight. They practiced a common ritual - drinking the blood of their slain prey (which many daylight hunters also practiced). However, the "Night People" were the ones who were unfairly ostracized for this practice.

During the Black Death (bubonic plague) in Europe, the "blood-drinking Night People" were unfairly blamed for many of the deaths and almost hunted to extinction. Those who survived went into hiding, but their legend grew. Braham Stoker gave the contemporary "vampire" mythos its birth with his publishing of his famous novel "Dracula" in 1897. In truth, actual vampires are merely descendants of the neolithic night hunters who retain certain genetic traits commonly associated with fictionalized vampires.

Not that odd. People are always claiming to be vampires and there are people that actually drink blood. He probably has the same psychological mental condition that helped create the myth of vampires in the first place. I believe if there was an actual vampire that it would never come out into the open for fear of persecution.

People have strange ideas and beliefs nothing wrong with it though.

I have worked in mental health care for over 25 years. What you are describing is probably a delusion, perhaps one permeated with paranoid thinking. Such a symptom is evidence of psychosis from severe mental illness (schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, etc.), intoxication (or withdrawal), neurological disorders, or some combination of the above.

Many people with severe mental illness hang around public buildings like libraries and museums during the day because they can remain warm, develop a modicum of a social life, and feel like they are accomplishing something. The problem with such thinking is that it often becomes so central to the person's personality that they are not able to hold down a job, and so must live off of disability payments. Most people benefit from some forms of anti-psychotic medication and ongoing case management, but often they are reluctant to seek treatment out of fear of being sent to a hospital.
