Dumbbells are actually enough if you'll be seriously working out and ofcourse if you wanna save money.
For Wrist and Forearm - use a lower weight like 5-10 lbs and do a wrist curl

There's not a lot you can do to increase wrist size, as your wrists are basically bone with some flesh and tendons - you can strengthen them, but you can't get them much bigger. Your forearms are another story - dumbbell wrist curls will help with that, as will exercises for your upper body (bench press, military press, barbell curls) where your forearms help as stabilizer muscles.

i have skinny wrists too. the only methods i know of are wrist curls using dumbells and training your grip with a clenching thing that you can find at your local athletics store. i think just working out your arms in general may also help you develop stronger wrists and forearms. i'm still looking for other ways to do so since my wrists are still quite skinny. hope i was able to help. good luck =]

You can do wrist curls. Hold the dumbell in your hand (first sit down somewhere) then place your arm on your leg with your hand and the dumbell hanging off of your knee. just extend you wrist down and up. Do as many reps as you can and do about 3-4 sets.
You could also do reverse curls. It is just like regular curls but the top of your arm is facing up and your forearm. Just take your hand palm facing down and grab dumbell and start!
