It says "unable to open your default email folders. Could not open the item.
Would you like to open your default file system folder instead?

I dont know what all this stuff means. I am trying to use outlook for the first time and is not working.

You do not have an email account set up yet. If you have dsl you were probably given an account. Go to your Internet Service Providers website and almost everyone of them have a walkthrough on how to set up your email with snapshots of outlook as you go. Also your ISP will usually help you for free.

It took me a while to get it set up. I'm sure your problem is a simple one but it is difficult to help you online when we can't see every screen of your setup. Review the link below.

Call 1-800-microsoft. They do charge you though.
