I feel sad, and compassion.
Just b/c I may not like someone, I still love them.

Truthfully, it depends on just how much I dislike the person, and whether I have brought that dislike before God earlier, or not. Sometimes I do find myself rejoicing--maybe gloating is the better term. Often the first reaction is "Beh, buti nga!" then I catch myself. If I am honestly able to lift the guy to God's mercy and compassion, I do. If I am not, may it be that I may at least lift myself up to that same mercy and compassion because in rejoicing, I stand in need for God to deal with me. Come to think about it, I cannot say I really rejoice, because I believe that joy comes out of the Spirit of God in you. Even if my heart takes pleasure at what happened, that, for me is not true rejoicing, but as I said, rather, gloating, and for that I stand in the need of forgiveness.
The process I go through may take quite a bit of time, but, in the end, if not at the beginning, I usually feel saddened at such tragedies and end up praying for the person whatever I felt about him or her in the beginning.

I dont think anything "tragic" has happened, but sort of bad things. Sometimes I rejoicebut others I feel a little bad for them. They are still people and have feelings and I know I would be sad if I were them. Also we're in this world together and should love and help each other. We can't ahceive anything if we are enemies. I'm glad I read this quote though. Good question!

Of course not. What kind of monster would rejoice in the suffering of another human being? Even if I dislike somebody, I certainly don't wish them any harm.

I will, but the Bible teaches that I shouldn't but rather pray. It is my carnal flesh that rejoices, but spiritually, I will not be totally free and happy unless I have compassion over my enemies and pray for them. Kinda like you pray so much for that person that you grow not to hate him so much, and therefore get him out of your system. This way, he will not control you anymore.

That would be the most horrible thing in the world to do!
Never should anyone, especially those of the Christian faith take delight in another human beings misery.
Jesus taught compassion and forgiveness........
Time and unforeseen occurrences can befall us all.
Jesus also taught that we are to pray for our enemies and those who persecute us.
I feel sad over someone else's sorrow, I truly do.

Do you think your enemies will not rejoice if you fall ? That's what being enemies means - you hate them .

Depends how much I hate that someone, yet is never enough to feel joy... There's always that part of you that feels sorrow for someone else that is suffering.
