yes.. but the sentence should be re-written to make more sense.
try this.

I hope that the members' varied strengths and oppurtunities will continue to complement each other and foster a more important cooperation between them.

The entire sentence is badly constructed, never mind putting an "a" before more.

I hope the members' varied strengths will compliment each other and assist them in striving for improved cooperation.

The sentance seems a little awkward to me.

What about "...and continue to create and encourage cooperation between them."

or

"...and continue to create a more important sense of cooperation between them."

The begining of the sentance sounds great. Clean, crisp and professional but the ending throws me off a touch. I think it's 'make' and 'more' that are messing up the flow of the sentance but other then that, it looks good :)

Use the "a" because you're talking about something specific rather than some general sense of cooperation. Also, the sentence is a little awkward. Try re-wording it a little to make it flow better.

It's fine the way it is. The word "more" modifies "cooperation", which is a non-countable noun. You can describe "cooperation" using words like "more" and "less", but you cannot count "cooperation" with numbers, like "1 cooperation, 2 cooperations, 3 cooperations...". Since it is non-countable, you would not use "a".

No. You should say "and contribute to further cooperation between them." If you are referring to more than two members, then substitute "among" for "between".

Yes, you need the "a" since its a cooperation that you're talking about.
I don't think I would use the word "more" here - "a more important contribution" seems a little heavy.
But it is correct (with the "a").

"to make more important cooperation between them is rough reading.
How about "to display a more serious cooperation between them." Makes more impact.

Actually you should put an "s" at the end of "cooperation."
