YES YES YES!!! Of course, kids are crafty and will find any way they can to "beat the system". I'm not putting them down for doing drugs. I did a few back in my day, however, I grew up and realized that life is so much more enjoyable when you're fully there to enjoy it. The times I wasted away, stoned out of my mind....I wish I had it all back. I'd have found something better and less damaging to my body to occupy my time. Drug tests should be mandatory!! Look at it this way....let's say you're brother is playing football. He takes a really bad hit, and had to go to the hospital. They give him narcotics to counteract the pain, and low and behold.....he's already got LSD in his system and is having a heart attack!! Oh well, MAYBE it won't damage his heart to the point that he can't get his heartrate over 100 beats per minute without dropping dead!! Heres another one.......he gets cut while being tackled. That happens all the time. One of the kids in the pile is bleeding as well, AND is an I.V. drug user that unknowingly has hepatitis, HIV, or AIDS!!! Now there's a good chance that he won't get it, but the odds aren't ALWAYS on your side. Would you want to be in his shoes? I think not. Not when it's your LIFE that's at stake. Believe it or not, people die from these diseases, and drug use because they're too stupid to realize they've overdosed until it's too late. Imagine the look on your parents face when they look at you with disappointment, and pure HURT, because the doctor told them while you were unconscious, that you'd ingested a dangerous amount of amphetamines, cocaine, or whatever. I've seen kids die one too many times like this and I don't care to EVER see one more.

I don't think anybody should be tested for drugs. It's an invasion of privacy. Schools and parents should inform kids about the dangers of drugs including steroids, and if the kids are still willing to take them, well??? I guess it's there decision. The more we let the "powers that be" invade our privacy the less human we'll be. We won't be individuals with individual opinions, we'd be robots.
Don't get me wrong it would be great to test kids and punish the hell out of the users so they won't do it again, and to deter other kids from doing drugs, but that would just be straight out fascism.
Point being we shouldn't force kids or anyone not to do drugs, we should only instill in them to not want to do drugs.
Read 1984 by Orwell and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Random? I think not.
But, because steroids have become so prevalent among athletes, and because they can cause irreparable damage, perhaps those athletes suspected of using them should be allowed to *voluntarily* submit to testing for only those drugs, or face being removed from their team.
As to the so-called recreational drugs, it's difficult for me to understand how the state - and it is the state which requires kids to attend school - can examine its citizens for the possibility of illegal activity without cause or court order. (Of course, if they made students agree to possible random drug testing as a prerequisite to joining a team, then it would be voluntary testing, and would be fair to all.)
I don't use or condone the use of any illegal drugs, but I would strongly object to the school testing kids for anything. That would be the parents' job, not the state's. It's not that I don't care about kids at risk, but I care more that governments have a tendency to become more and more invasive when allowed to do so.
There are no easy answers, are there?

I believe that schools should have the right to drug test students as long as the parents of the student give permission. Even though students are under 18, they still have rights. It may be different if the student wants to participate in an extracurricular activity, then I think that no permission is needed.

Yes. Drugs start with the youth and more needs to be done to help the youth avoid these mistakes and Drug testing will go along way to help.

I recommend for school athlete to give out drug test because drug does effect physical health..because it make the heart unstrong to beat as the natural one..and the reason because it's good for school to keep track that everyone is health not just that it's good for schol because it helped drug addiction to stop.

The pleasant recommendation i can give is solely to preserve doing what you are already doing. At this point there isnt so much you can do with simplest a day to move. You will definately have a greater chance if the scan is peeing alternatively than physique hair. Congratulations on quitting and just right luck!

the final suggestion i will grant is merely to maintain doing what you're already doing. At this factor there isnt plenty you're able to do with basically an afternoon to bypass. you will definately have a extra advantageous risk if the attempt is peeing rather than physique hair. Congratulations on quitting and stable success!

Needed !!
Yes, random testing should be required. People should be rewarded on their own merits, not with the benefit of performance-enhancing drugs.

i think that any kind of drug testing is pointless there are so many people that do drugs and sports and jobs aren't going to stop them just make them be careful or try to get around it.
