i dyed it yesterday night with manic panic ultra violet or some other name i don't know. its purple anyway. its on the underneath layers of my hair. my natural hair color is blonde just fyi.
i really want it to last a longer time ( more than two weeks prefferably) and not fade so bad.
I left the dye in for 3 hours and blow dryed it with the dye in about 5 times.
and i did not pre-bleach it because my hair is already a light light blonde
and i have dyed it like this 2 times before with the same stuff
open to suggestions?

Shampoo and Conditioner for Colored hair won't help. It will help for permanent dyes, but because this is only semi permanent, nothing will help. It helps to wash less. Manic Panic also has a shampoo that has semi permanent color in it to help it not fade as much. But, considering you only have part of your hair dyed, it might be a pain to try and only wash that part. So basically, all I can say is try to wash less.

i use manic panic because it fades fast, but if you want a hairdye that lasts long, try raw. They sell it at hottopic, though here in the US they sell it for 12.00 a bottle. I don't know how much that would be in UK, but im sure it would'nt be much. Anyways, raw lasts 3-6 weeks, but comes in semi and demi permanant. Demi means it lasts just a bit longer then semi, so don't worry about it much. Good luck and i hope this helped!

The only way to keep semi-permanent color last longer is to not wash it as often. So if your hair is not oily and does not required a daily shampoo - try every other day.

there are a few products out there that are really good to use. I know when I dye my hair I get salon quality shampoo and hair masks that are designed for dyed hair. they work really well in preserving your colour. As I'm from Aus, I doubt I'd be able to recommend you anything, but most hair salons/shops will have similar products.

hope this helps.

Oh, don't worry at all about it staying in. Believe me, I have light blonde hair, and I put dark purple in, it didn't come out for months. It's just because my hair is so light. But really, don't worry. I didn't even notice it fading, it was very gradual. So you have nothing to worry about.

Don't wash your hair as often, and buy the type of shampoo that locks in color.

get a shampoo that is for colored hair, or reapply it. for blonde too you can just go out in the sun a lot and it will give it natural highlights

Buy some of the color and mix some of it in with your conditioner when you wash your hair

Just don't wash your hair... it should last a long time then.
