For those who say keep God and religion out of "my"country, out of "our" laws, and out of "our" government, when did it become all yours? Christians have just as much right as you to have OUR country run the way WE see fit also. We share this country whether you all like it or not,and we aren't going to let OUR country go down the tubes without a fight. Believe it or not,but Christians are fighting for our nation's very survival, spiritually and physically, despite all the opposition that comes against them.Right now,all that is keeping God's mercy upon us is the prayers and faithfulness of the Christians. But one day God will say enough is enough. That day is fast approaching.

Do you want some cheese with that whine.
Grow up and face the facts. There is separation of church and state in this country. It is there because, despite what your ilk like to claim, this is not and never was founded as a Christian country.
Most of the founding fathers were deists or atheists who deliberately prevented the church from messing in state affairs, and visa versa.
You want school lead prayers - fine, as long as the Hindu, Muslims, Sikhs, and all the others in the school get their prayers represented too. And the atheists get time to mock the lot. But that is not what you want is it. You want to force your belief down everyone else's throat, whether they like it or not.
And what is stopping your kids from praying? Other than they can not get up and do it out loud - something Jesus (allegedly) said that you should not do anyway - see Matthew 6:5-6. What is stopping then from praying before they leave home, or after they get back?
I am not making a personal attack on your lord and savior. I can't attack something that does not exist. I am defending me and my children from your attack on one of the founding principals of this country. It was never founded as "one nation under God. It was founded as a humanitarian republic. E Pluribus Unum. At least until 1956 where the McCarthyist right hijacked the government under the pretext of being anti-communist.
You are the one who is out of step with the freedoms of this country. If you do not like it, go live in a theocracy.
I suspect however, that you will continue to stay here and whine and pout about how you are being cruelly oppressed by not being able to make Christianity the state religion.

I understand your fear and frustration. This is a nation under God, but it does not mean it is a Chrisitian God. What is beautiful about this country is the idea that there is tolerance and respect for everyone. Don't forget that we are all foreigners to this land and that the founding fathers wanted liberty and justice for all. We all have our opinions and we can express them without fear. I encourage you to fight for what you believe without fear or hate. We can get a lot more accomplished in a civil manner without accusations, recriminations and by respecting each other. There are always going to be good and bad people. Don't let a bad apple represent a whole barrel.

Thought I'd retype it this way to see how it sounded:
Christians do not want Wiccans to brain washing then about our religious beliefs but, do they not know they are pushing what they believe (or Don't believe) on us & doing so they are making personal attacks on my God & Goddess! Our Country has gone wild! We have lost our Freedom to foreigners! They can have there say in everything they want because this is the Land Of the Free...For them! My freedom has been take, robbed! My Children can't say Happy Beltaine & much more! This is One Nation with speration of chruch and state, deal with IT or PLEASE leave!
Nope, didn't make any sense that way either.

Last time I checked there were Atheists native to the U.S.
I agree that some have gone a bit overboard but some Christians have done that to.

You can pray all you want in school as long as it's a private school. Nobody has taken away your freedom. You just haven't exercised it in the right places. Nobody is making any attacks on your personal savior. They simply don't want your beliefs shoved down their throats. The original pledge was one nation indivisible. The "under God" was added during the McCarthy/red scare. If you don't like it, you can use your freedom to leave.

I can appreciate your frustrations. Believe me, I live in Miami, and we "Americans" can't get a decent Job without being "Bi - you better speak Spanish or tell your story walking - lingual. I don't have a problem with Hispanics, I only have a problem being told that, being an American is not enough. To address your point, we're losing our freedom(s) because we're giving it away. Atheists are watching us all the time, and what do they see. Christians, getting divorced, instead of turning the other "cheek." Christians not challenging the false science of the Atheist, but instead, encouraging people to "feel the spirit." Let's be logical. It's not a sin for Christians to be intelligent. The same science that Atheists use to prove God doesn't exists, actually debunks their "theories" and support God's existence. There is actually more evidence that proves that Jesus existed, and "is" who He says He is, than evidence that proves Abraham Lincoln existed. Lets fight, with actual facts. People, can't measure Faith in a lab, but they can understand history.

I'm a Christian, and I don't fear America's freedoms one little bit. My family went through hell to come to this country, and I'm glad they did. If you want to pray, then pray at home. Church and state should never mix. Look at any country where they did, and you'll usually see a historical disaster. I believe in complete religious freedom, and that includes freedom from religion.
