I found Carl Youngs interpretations a more agreeable refence to the study,i was totally turned off by Freud's idea that everthing a Human thinks about is sexually charged,I could not relate to his psycology of the human mind ...perhaps it related to a percentage of the human population, but not everyone is wired the same..I dont think you need a phd to be a bit skeptical about these types of Doctors....

>> Yes it seems so, this has been put down to: it emerged that a lot of Sigmund freuds dream theory experimentational work, relied on women subjects, who it turns out, had been sexually molested throughout their lives. So quite a bit of his work can be viewed as being very subjective.

>> I also like Carl Jung's work more than Freud's. ~ It's more objective.
Carl Jung actually studied with Freud for a while, but the partnership disolved as Jung did not agree with Freud's techniques etc.
Jung has written some very informative books. His dream/symbolic writings are fascinating.

My shrink and I got into a discussion about him a few weeks ago. We both agreed that the man blamed sex for every problem. I think it maybe because the guy was sexually frustrated and REALLY needed to get laid.
