well accually i have a story from the otherside from when i was forced to go witnessing as a child. one day we were walking along in an apartment complex. we climed 3 stories and i was freakin out of breath and it was my turn to try to convert someone. so i rang the doorbell and guess what. one of the mean neo nazi girls from my high school answered the door ( i was maybe 15 or something) it totally blew because i was out of breath, i looked like a dork standing there with these stupid mags and she was just looking me up and down and i just knew i was gonna get it the next day at school. yeah, that is a witness kids worst nightmare. to be dragged down the street knocking on some school kids door. especially if you never told them you were brought up a witness. i didnt hear the end of it for the rest of the year. god, i hated my life!

At times, a question such as this will elicit dozens and dozens of elaborate schemes to spare a householder an unwanted conversation with Jehovah's Witness door-to-door ministers.
All such schemes are a complete and utter waste of time!
Many of your neighbors have figured it out, and it's really quite simple:
1. Open the door
2. Smile (optional)
3. Ask "Jehovah's Witness?"
4. Receive affirmation
5. Say, "Thank you, but I'm not interested"
6. Gently close the door (slamming is rude, but your prerogative)
Please recognize that Jehovah's Witnesses are not primarily interested in converts, but in working to obey Jesus' command to preach (Matt 24:14; Matt 28:19,20).

Invite them in and get out every different version of the Bible that I own and ask them why their's is the only one that put an 'a' in John 1:1, ask them if they are saved and going to Heaven and when they answer, ask them if they would like to know for sure. Show them Roman 10:9 and 10
They will either be a new soul that Heaven rejoices over or they will never come back.

My brothers and sisters are always welcome!
I realize most of your previous answers are meant to be funny, and we do have a sense of humor. Actually we talk about the silly things people do and say in our car groups and at the Kingdom Hall. Pointing out the homes where strange people live to others. Yes, we do laugh a lot, realizing that Satan has a hand in their lives.
It's going to be interesting to see the expressions on peoples faces when they are resurrected from the dead by a witness.

Before, I would answer the door and tell them my mother wasn't home (even though I was an adult) lol!
Now, I would answer the door and debate them- I'm an Atheist. I would most likely ask them things like: Why can't a woman can't hold a position of responsibility in the congregation? Or why a woman can't wear pants to the congregation.. its funny that we impose natural, physical, traditional hang ups on omnipotent beings. God said let no denim or cotton encompass her thighs thoroughly! ROFL.

Jehovah's Witnesses have not come to my door for as long as I've lived here, but if they did, I think I would have to start out by asking them if they confessed Jesus Christ as God the Son as stated clearly in the Scriptures and in the Nicene, Athanasian, and Apostles' creeds. Of course they would say no.
And then I would say that as far as I'm concerned, they are in gross error, which must be refuted at every turn, not accepted with invitations into my house, or allowing them to use my porch as their pulpit. Unless their purpose is only to listen to MY preaching of MY faith, they will get only one rebuttal from me, and that is a door shutting in their face.

I perosnally invite all the cults in. Then I listen to them. I ask them questions and based on the way the conversation goes I give them the real gospel.
I know that the only reason they do not beleive Jesus is God, is becasue they think they are good enough to go to make themselves right with God. So I take them through the Ten Commandments.
Sine they do not beleive in Hell, I ask the about the lake of fire that all liars are cast into.
I try and live them with no hope of ever being right with God, based on thier twisted belief in the Bible. Why live them with no hope, because once a person has no hope of pleasing God, they will though themselves at the foot of the cross.
Assuming the God is drawing them.

The beer thing really does work I have not tried that but know a lot that have. I just tell them if I decide to practice what they preach I will find them, and until then do not come to my door harassing me. They have never come back since and I have lived at the same address for 4 years now.

Start screaming and shouting that you feel the power and you are having a witness!!!! Then all of the sudden wrack wrack you pick up a big log and tell them your pony is about to come and get them and if they don't put toothpaste on their noses tomorrow then somehow they will findthemselves drunk because you have toxins floating around in the air at your house

Yea, one time when I was a little girl, this same group of Jehovah Witness' kept coming to our door, even after my mother kindly told them we were devout Catholics. One day, we happen to see their car and my mom followed it to their home. The next week, my mother showed up on their doorsteps with our local priest (she had told him she really wanted them to experience the good Lord) and he can talk! Like he can talk forever! And they just sat their and listened, because you can't turn a priest away. My mother even made muffins! Did I mention it was 6 in the morning? Father Danielson is an early riser!
