For making spaghetti sauce or chili?

Cento crushed tomatoes. (Comes in a yellow can). I love how thick it is, that I NEVER need to use paste, and it's also one of the few brands that don't add salt. I like to add my own..not have the manufacturer decide how much to use for me.

Muir Glen. Far and away the best tasting. A review in Cook's Illustrated found them #1, which is where I first heard about them. Locally I can find them at Whole Foods and Harris-Teeter -- don't know about your area.

san marzano are the best tasting I've had but muir glen aren't bad...but sadly both are a tad on the expensive side for canned tomatoes...
