If she is not in conversation at the time walk up and say excuse me, My name is--- and I wondered if I could get your name? That is one approach. just be sure you tell her your name first.

ahhh doesnt look like your english is that great buddy. WHICH IS A GOOD THING: people in this country feel sympathetic towards foreigners! do not be the least bit shy to just go up to this girl and say, "hi, my name is (bla bla)... what's your name?" she'll answer... and then you can follow up with "nice to meet you. i am from the country of Cockblockistan (or wherever you are from) and i dont know too many people at this college, so i wanted to get to know someone!" she'll think its very flattering that you approached her out of all the other students in class. good luck

First of all I think you would impress her and the rest of this forum if you would pay attention to your typing skills.
If you do not know her then get to know her and run into her by accident a few times. Have fun with the encounters and then introduce yourself. It will only get better.

a little bit stockerish but walk by her talk groupa couple times but slowly listen for key words on what they talk about and then just walk up introduce yourself and go for it, or ask for directions, or help of somekind

casually and calmly start a conversation with her and soon ask for her name. do not seem too desperate though. remember, just take it cool, do not stress on this, it just makes things worse.......

say, hello/hi/hey/what's up
and then say my name's *****
and yours? then talk about some common interests of yours,
then see if she likes them as well, and if she does then continue on talking about that interest of yours, but if not then talk about another interest of yours until you get a common interest among both of you.
