There is several things on the market to use..

but it is a virus.. and most of the people in the USA have it..... some too mild to notice it..
it is herpes simplex...
there is upper herpes and lower herpes..

You just have to allow it run it's course.. threw ur body..
always wash ur body often.. as not to get it.. germs. while u have it.. don't use real hot water in the tub or shower.. cuz u usually run a bit of fever while u have this.. and it only makes the fever go up...
don't let anyone drink after u.. U can get this at any age.. It has to do with ur nervous system..
It can get worse.. it not taken care of.. so keep an eye on it..
take care.. and good luck..

VALTREX prescription
blistex is applied like a chap stick you just keep recontaminating the site and the product
in some people it can take 2 weeks to heal a herpes simplex lesion which is caused by a virus ( which stays in your body even when an out break is not present and will reoccur at intervals)

Ask you Dr or Dentist for a prescription medication called Valtrex. You take two doses 12 hours apart at the first symptoms of a cold sore and it will heal the cold sore very quickly. If you take it soon enough you can even stop the blisters from forming and erupting.

If anything apply some chapstick to keep it protected from most bacteria and dont put chemicals on it because it will IRRITATE IT. You don't want that..
