My bible is pretty bland ~ I was thinking maybe it's becasue it has no pictures. I remember years ago, seeing one with lots of illustrations. Why did they stop doing that? Can you still get them? Who did the illustrations? Paul the Apostle?

Seems somebody forgot to take his ant-acid pill this morning. I really am interested in the illustrations, despite what pre-conceptions you might have.

Only for you Gaz! I got up off my hiney and looked. The bible I referred to in your last question was from Heirloom Publishers from Wichita, Kansas. The illustrations are beautiful.

I have a Precious Moments NKJ Bible that my god mother bought me over a decade ago. It's filled with loads of pictures and has my name in graved on it. It's something I cherish...now if only I could get my self to read it more. I'm sure you can get a more illustrated bible..you may have to search a used book store or even ebay.

I saw one of these when I was a kid - it was a "children's bible" with pictures. If you think the bible is weird, dude, wait till you see the children's version with pictures! It actually freaked me out a bit as a kid because the illustrations were a bit graphic for a child.

The Haydock Bible is a magnificent work of art. It has several ink drawings that are quite gorgeous if you like to see pictures. It also has a place for family records.

I suppose some good Catholic drew these beautiful, edifying pictures. :)

You might try Chick Publishing. I hear they have all kinds of picture books, but only if you aren't afraid of the truth, because everything Chick publishes is the truth. I especially like this one on dinosaurs.
